Capital Alliance transitions to next generation of leaders

DALLAS, April 8, 2015 – Three seasoned executives have assumed the leadership of global mid-market investment banking firm Capital Alliance Corp. (www.cadallas.com), as Edward J. Dawson, the firm’s long-time chairman, president and CEO, implements the firm’s succession plan.

“The firm is in good hands. I’ve worked alongside these three individuals for quite some time, so I’ve seen how they work and what they’re capable of. We’ve gone through an orderly and comprehensive transitional period to get ready for this day. Now that it’s here, I look forward to watching how they move Capital Alliance to the next level in its development and growth,” Dawson said.

Succeeding him in the executive suite will be Bryan Livingston, managing director and chief executive officer; Bradley Buttermore, managing director and chief financial officer; and Paul Puri, managing director and chief development officer. Each of the three executives has been a principal at Capital Alliance for more than 10 years. Dawson will assume the role of non-executive chairman.

“Ed Dawson has established a legacy of professionalism and integrity at Capital Alliance,” Livingston said. “We are privileged to have the opportunity to build upon what he has done over the past decades. Working with Ed as long as we have is certainly an advantage for the three of us and, more importantly, for our clients. We will carry on in the tradition that Ed has established. Our commitment to high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct has certainly stood the test of time, and will serve us well as we move into the next phase of growth.”

Livingston has served Capital Alliance as executive vice president and principal since 2010. He has consulted with merger and acquisition (M&A) clients in construction and engineering, telecommunications, industrial automation, energy, minerals and mining, and healthcare.

Bradley Buttermore has been CFO since 1998, and was named a principal in 2003. During his 17 years at Capital Alliance, he has advised clients across a range of industries, including business services and staffing, third-party consulting, professional employer organizations, manufacturing and others.

Chief development officer Paul Puri has served Capital Alliance as executive vice president and principal for more than 10 years. He has worked with clients in business services, energy and oilfield services, technology and other industries.
