Capital Alliance adds two in move expanding sector expertise

DALLAS, May 31, 2016 – Global middle-market investment bank Capital Alliance Corp. (www.cadallas.com) has expanded its expertise in several industry sectors with two strategic personnel additions.

The expansion is part of Capital Alliance Corp.’s (CAC) move into new industry verticals and part of its growth plan related to the 2015 transition of company ownership to three principals with long-time ties to CAC. The ownership transition followed the retirement of company founder Ed Dawson.

Mark Travis, most recently the CFO of payment technology provider TransFirst, joins CAC as practice leader. He has more than 30 years of financial leadership experience, including the acquisition and financing of more than 20 transactions. He will counsel M&A clients in the finance and technology sectors.

Travis holds a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Texas and an MBA from the University of North Texas. While at TransFirst, he successfully integrated seven acquisitions over a period of three years, including the sale of the company to a private equity firm in 2014 for $1.5 billion. Prior to TransFirst, Travis spent 18 years at Electronic Data Systems, where he served in a number of senior financial roles.

CAC also added Mark Lee as a strategic advisor specializing in healthcare.

Lee brings more than 25 years of experience, including work with large hospital systems, physician practices, accountable care organizations, independent physician associations, home healthcare, hospice, senior housing and skilled nursing. He will advise M&A clients in the healthcare sector.

Lee has been responsible for multiple multimillion-dollar transactions and has overseen the start-up and profitability of many new healthcare delivery systems. His expertise in healthcare system integration makes him a valuable addition to CAC.

“Mark Travis and Mark Lee add significant depth to our team in outsourced business services, healthcare services and complex M&A transactions,” said Bryan Livingston, CEO and managing director. “We expect both to play pivotal roles in the growth of our firm.”
