Paul Puri is managing partner and chief development officer of Capital Alliance, which he joined in 2001. He is also global head of the Energy Industry Group of Oaklins, a highly skilled team of energy investment bankers located in 41 countries. He has 15 years of experience advising shareholders in complex mergers and buyouts that demand his critical analysis and guidance, deep industry relationships and strong negotiating skills. Paul has completed several substantial, game-changing transactions on behalf of clients specializing in oilfield pipes, valves and fittings (PVF); hydraulic fracturing equipment; and security solutions.
Paul has ongoing projects with clients in oilfield drilling, fluid handling and chemical treatment, offshore tubular manufacturing, and rig equipment manufacturing. He has unlocked over $500 million of liquidity to his North American clients in sell-side transactions.
Prior to joining Capital Alliance, Paul served as director of strategic alliances at NetworkTwo Communications Group, a technology firm focused on the financial sector. Earlier in his career, he held positions in engineering, technical execution and strategic development at Verizon and Cisco Systems.
Paul earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and his MBA from Southern Methodist University. He has received “Who’s Who in Energy” achievement awards from the Dallas Business Journal in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Paul and his wife Veena are parents of two children and he is an active member of the Rotary Club of Dallas.
- Initiated and negotiated the sale of Enerflow Industries, the second largest manufacturer of hydraulic fracturing equipment, to National Oilwell Varco, a $14 billion revenue firm.
- Initiated and negotiated the sale of Midfield Supply Ltd. to Red Man Pipe & Supply, creating a $1 billion leader, that was subsequently acquired by McJunkin and Goldman Sachs to form $5 billion MRC (NYSE), the largest oilfield PVF distributor worldwide.
