
Lawrence Purcell has closed over one billion dollars in middle market financings and M&A transactions in his twenty-year career at Capital Alliance. Offering a unique combination of military and industrial experience, Larry manages the Construction and Engineering Services Division. He has wide-ranging experience in automotive sales and manufacturing, general construction and HVAC, food processing, product development and distribution, oilfield pipe and tool manufacturing, consumer credit products, and many other industries.
Prior to joining Capital Alliance, Larry worked for First National Bank of Boston (now Bank of America) where he provided asset-based lending for leveraged buyouts, ultimately leading to his role as Senior Vice President of new business development for Barclay’s business credit subsidiary. Following eight years of active duty with the United States Army, Larry spent four years in procurement at Bell Helicopter Company, and four years at Texas Instruments, where he negotiated international contracts for Air Traffic Control Systems and later managed cash flow for the company’s subsidiaries in its corporate treasury department.
Larry is a retired U.S. Army Colonel (Military Intelligence), and a decorated officer. He is a Vietnam veteran and holds the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Bronze Star, and the Legion of Merit. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, an MBA from the University of Texas, and an MA in International Business from the University of Texas at Dallas.
